These are our final ancillary task two and our final front cover of ancillary task one, We have used Photoshop to add filters, text and colour to the pieces.

These two images are of the magazine advertisement that we have to create, we first started with this first image but decided that we needed some colour to draw the audiences attention more as the poster wasnt very eye catching. We then added a top and bottom border to the poster in a light blue colour as we thought this would attract peoples attention without completely taking all attention from the text and imagery.
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK:

Positive comments
It is really effective
Bold, very dramatic
The two faces look professional
Very Eye-catching and professional effects

Negative comments:

Couldn't see some of the writing
some of the font could be darker
Need a year next to September
The writing needs to be enhanced

After recieving this feedback we have concluded that we need to work on making some of the writing more visable and will as a year to the dates.

We then decided that where we have written "plus guests" wasnt very easy to see or read so we have beveled and embossed it and also given is a shadowed effect but are still unsure to wether it is easier to read. We have also beveled and embossed the other text as we though this would help to make the writing easier to see. We have also given the title "MOMENTUM" a gradient as this catches your eye even more.

 This is the image we are using for our CD cover, We have taken images of our model from opposite angles with the left side her facial expression look sad and miserable where as the right side she is connoting power and gives the impression she is moving on. We have used studio lighting and a backdrop to create tonal contrasts and different lighting whilst using a fan to blow her hair to give a dramatic look. We have dressed her in just a fur throw as we wanted to keep it simple and elegant.

These are some of our initial ideas of how we want our CD covers text to be like, we decided we wanted to use conventions from real CD covers such as the 'M' on Miley Cyrus' album, but have changed it to 'A' to suit our album as the artists name is 'Ava Marie'. We liked this idea because it made the cover more visually pleasing and interesting.
We have experimented with different fonts and found that these three suited best, my favorite one is the middle one because it is more intricate in the way it has more detail and gives you more to look at.

We then decided to use the usual conventions of real covers to then add our own ideas to it, we have decided as we have made the images we have taken face opposite ways, to make the text work well with it we have reflected the text also to create a mirrored effect.

Comments: Her name overlaps her head and doesn't look good
The colours don't work you can't read the font clearly
Her clothes are unflattering
She looks pale
There's not enough text
The page doesn't look proportionate

We have decided to have the lyrics to our song on the inside of the CD cover, in the lighter areas of the background image we have used we have made the text dark grey and in the darker areas of the image we have made it white, this is so that it is clear and easy to read, we needed to do this to ensure that its suitable for our audience.

Last night we decided to take images for our CD cover wih our artist, we experimented with different shots, angles, costumes, lighting and poses to find which worked best to create an eye-catching effect. We first dressed our model in a red dress with red lipstick and a jewelled necklace to connote feminity and make her lips and outfit stand out. This tells the viewer that she has a keen interest in fashion and likes to take care of her appearance. We have then dressed her in a burgendy jumper which has a jewelled collar to keep to the main colour of red/pink and keep this colour as an on going theme throughout our ancilliary tasks. I think that the jumper gives a warm, relaxed look giving more of a homely look to our artist where as the dress looks more glamorous, this could give the viewer and insight into what her personality is also like.

This is our first attempt at creating our CD cover, we have chosen this image as we think that it has a calm atmosphere from the warm colours we have captured in the scenery. This represents our artist well by giving her and her music a relaxed, peaceful look. I think that this is visually pleasing from the use of colour, lighting and the position and expression of the model. We have put text with the artist name we have given our model in this in a thin font giving it a delicate,

Positives:
* slow motion effect
* lovely scenery
* laughing scenes are very atmospheric
* good miming
* the video suits the song

Negetives:
*mix of emotions, could make the narrative clearer
*timing of some of the shots to improve the lip sincing.
* black socks shouldnt be included

Third time filming

We decided that we needed to film one last time as we decided that we needed some more happier footage and also we needed some parts for the chorus where our model is lip sincing to it as we want the chorus in the video to make more of an impact.

When doing the make up of our model we decided to keep her skin make up natural with a thin layer of eye liner and some mascara as we want her to look innocent and have natural elegance. We decided to give her red lips which usually would connote danger and seductiveness, but in this case we think that it creates a warm friendly look and brings a new color to the color palette of the scenes. We curled her hair so that she looked effortlessly flawless and gives her more of a calm, natural look which works well with the scenery.

 We decided to dress our model in colours such as grey, white, navy and red, we stuck to this colour palette as we wanted her to stand out but without colour distracting the viewers from the raw beauty of the model and scenery but also not forget about the meaning behind the video itself.

This is our fist stages at making the video, we have added scenes from filming the first and second time, as you can see we havent shortened some of the clips so they dont work well with the music if we put them together. We just wanted to try putting some videos together to see if they work well together to create the look and meaning we was going for.

This is our first full video we have created, we like the shots and how we have cut the scenes to fit the music and make it interesting, but we dont think it works well with the narrative we have chosen.
We want to give our video a meaning rather than a story line, our only narrative is the meaning behind it, we wanted to portray that at the beginning she is sad and lonely from the loss of her boyfriend who sheis no longer with but slowely throughout the video her feelings transform to happiness as she becomes strong and independant. But in this sequencing we havent ordered the clips so that the sad ones are at the beginning and the happier ones are towards the end, We would like to change some of  the clips so that they fit this pattern.
after recieveing feedback that our audience didnt think the chorus was very exciting we decided  when the chorus comes in we would like it to make more of an impact, we are currently deciding what would be the best way to do this and are thinking of filming our model slip sincing as from watching other videos they do this to make an impact and when watching our video it is what you expect to happen.
